The 2011 Aloha Club "Scouting Party" met in late October in South Lake Tahoe to "evaluate" the area for its suitability to host the 2011 Aloha Club event. Of course we had to play the courses to make a reasonable evaluation. We played Edgewood GC (host course for the annual PGA tour Celebrity Golf Tournament, Lake Tahoe GC, and we visited the Genoa Lakes and Resort courses - although the weather was not conducive for actual play. Naturally, we spent considerable time and money to evaluate the Casinos, bars and resturants as well! Anita brought an ample supply of her winery samples which we enjoyed throughout the week! Herb Riebeling, a friend of Anita's, joined us for dinner at the Kitchen - 19 atop Harrah's for a memorable evening of eating, drinking and Lots of story telling. Herb's adventures as a pilot were amazing!! It was fantastic to see Vern and Lorraine again, and be able to enjoy the quality time that this small group offered. Can't wait til we can get the group together again in June 2011!
